Life-Work Planning Center Recipient of 2019 Peace Pole

Each year, Hope Interfaith Center, a non-profit Spiritual Center in Mankato, recognizes an organization for their committed work to the community through the giving of a Peace Pole.  Life-Work Planning Center was honored to be the recipient of the 2019 Peace Pole.  Life-Work Planning Center has been providing services to women in and around our community for 40 years.  Jean Keenan, executive director of Life-Work Planning center shares, “I’m humbled and tremendously grateful to have been witness to the strength and resilience of women as they begin to start over.  The circumstances should be heartbreaking when you hear some of the stories, but I’d say really what we have are stories of hope.”

Present for the ceremony were Rev. Janice “Hope” Gorman and staff from Hope Interfaith Center, and Life-Work Planning Center Staff and Board Members.  It was a celebration of friendship and service!
